A Palmyra woman is facing felony hindering charges after allegedly giving an Ontario County fugitive a ride and allowing him to make several calls from her cell phone, which were deleted upon her learning of his fugitive status. It is alleged that Tina Cassidy, 43, of Palmyra gave Michael Anderson a ride from Fat Boys Pizza in the Village of Phelps to a residence in Seneca County after he had fled sheriff deputies on foot following an accident in Phelps.Upon learning that Anderson was wanted by police, Cassidy intentionally deleted the calls from her cell phone and failed to notify police of Anderson’s whereabouts. When she was interviewed by deputies she provided false information regarding Anderson’s whereabouts thereby hindering his arrest and prosecution.Michael Anderson made headlines earlier this month when he allegedly broke into a home, threatened a woman and two children with a gun, and when police attempted to apprehend him — crashed his vehicle in Phelps. He later turned himself in at the southern border of Pennsylvania to State Troopers, where he awaited extradition to face the charges he faced in Geneva. She was charged with Hindering Prosecution in the 2nd degree, a Class E felony, and arraigned in Pehlps Town Court. She was remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond.
