LIKE OLD TIMES: Syracuse beats UConn in MSG, 72-63 (full coverage)

Syracuse defeated UConn at the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night, 72-63. Tyus Battle scored 22 points and Matthew Moyer broke out in front of a national television audience on ESPN with 18 points and 7 rebounds including a pair of one handed put-back dunks that brought the Orange faithful in NYC to their feet. Syracuse freshman Oshae Brissett recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Syracuse improved to 7-1 on the season and will face Colgate next in the Carrier Dome on Saturday at 2:00 pm.

PREVIEW:

Syracuse and Connecticut will renew their rivalry at the Jimmy V Classic on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The match up is the second game of the night at Madison Square Garden and is scheduled for a 9 p.m. tip off. The game will be televised on ESPN and the Watch ESPN app. Fans can also listen to the broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.
