An Auburn woman admitted stealing another woman’s purse and using her credit card to go on a shopping spree in Cayuga County.
Tabitha Hagar, 32, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony.
In court Tuesday, Hagar told Judge Mark Fandrich that she and her husband, Matthew Hagar, were at Burger King Oct. 22, 2016, when they found a woman’s purse. She said her husband took the purse and she and her mother then used a credit card found inside.
