A third draft of a proposed 2017-18 school budget will be presented at Monday night’s school board meeting.
The second draft budget calls for spending $39.1 million, up 3 percent from last year. The tax levy in the second draft is projected to increase to $12.5 million , an 0.89 percent increase.
The third draft should reflect estimated new state aid figures. State aid amounts to more than $25 million of the budget.
The board will consider a vote to adopt the budget following the presentation.
If so, there will be a public hearing May 8 and the public will vote on the budget from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Skoi-Yase Primary School.
