The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Wednesday at approximately 5:54 am an accident on State Route 96 in the Town of Manchester occurred sending one woman to the hospital.
Deputies say that the two vehicle crash happened when Julie A Carr, 47, of Clifton Springs was traveling west on State Route 96 and was attempting to make a left turn into a driveway when Betty B. Ressue, 62, of Newark who was traveling behind her, could not stop in time before sideswiping the turning vehicle of Carr.
Carr sustained a broken wrist and was transported to Clifton Springs Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance for further treatment.
Ressue was ticketed for following too closely.
