Ahead of a school board vote this week, the superintendent of Wayne Central Schools is recommending the district move to a single-campus arrangement. Superintendent Mathis Calvin made the recommendation during a Board of Education workshop Tuesday night.
Under his proposal, students in Kindergarten through second grade would be housed at Ontario Primary School; students in grades three and four would be at Ontario Elementary; students in grades five through eight would be taught at the middle school; students in grades nine through 12 would be housed at the high school. Freewill Elementary would be closed as part of the arrangement.
