Few pieces of legislation have generated as much debate and controversy in this Seneca County community as Local Law 7 of 2016, also known as the Town of Seneca Falls Waste Disposal Law.
Introduced by the Town Board in April and presented by attorney Doug Zamelis of Cooperstown, the law has been praised by those who wish to close the Seneca Meadows Landfill as soon as possible and criticized by landfill officials and supporters.
