Friday at approximately 5:20 am the Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted Waterloo Police in the Village of Waterloo for the report of an unresponsive male subject. It was believed the 40 year old male subject had ingested opiates and was unconscious and barely breathing. Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeffrey Steuer administered Naloxone (Narcan) and the subject regained consciousness and normal breathing and was transported to Geneva General Hospital by North Seneca Ambulance where he was treated. All Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators have received training and carry Narcan kits in all Sheriff’s vehicles. This is the second successful save made by Sheriff’s Deputies who have administered Narcan.
