The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two Watkins Glen residents on charges of Trespass and Burglary after police say they entered and remained unlawfully in a building on Baker Hill Road in Watkins Glen while in the possession of drugs. Ryan D. Alverson (age 37) of 1932 State Route 414 Watkins Glen, NY is charged with one count each of Burglary in the Third Degree (a class D felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (a class A misdemeanor), Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument (a class A misdemeanor) and Resisting Arrest (a class A misdemeanor). He is being held in the Schuyler County Jail on $2,500.00 bail. Noelle McCarthy (age 24) of 2255 County Route 16 Watkins Glen, NY is charged with one count each of Criminal Trespass Third Degree (a class B misdemeanor) and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (a Violation). She is released on an Appearance Ticket. Sheriff’s Deputies where assisted in their apprehension by the New York State Police and their K-9 Unit.
