When the Watertown Rapids collegiate league baseball team takes to the diamond next summer, they’ll be led by a new coach.
At a press conference at Jefferson Community College on Tuesday, the Rapids announced that Michael Wood of Seneca Falls would be coaching the team in 2019. Wood is 24 years old and a 2012 graduate of Mynderse Academy High School. He is currently the assistant coach of St. Lawrence and played college baseball at JCC in 2014 and 2015 and then at Division II Davison-Elkins College.
