Nozzolio honored by Literacy Volunteers of Wayne Co.

In recognition of his unwavering support of literacy programs throughout the Finger Lakes Region, State Senator Mike Nozzolio was recently honored with the 2016 “Champion of Literacy” award by Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County.”It is an honor to receive this recognition and I thank and commend Director Christopher Edgar and Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County for their continued advocacy and dedication to providing invaluable learning skills to people all across Wayne County,” said Senator Nozzolio. “I look forward to working with and continuing to support Literacy Volunteer’s efforts to provide quality, comprehensive and accessible educational services.”Throughout his tenure in the New York State Legislature, Senator Nozzolio has been a steadfast supporter of increased state funding for Adult Literacy Education and literacy programs, and has been successful in securing funding for these invaluable programs throughout his district.”The ability to read and write is a critical factor in allowing people to fully realize their potential as individuals, parents, and citizens,” said Senator Nozzolio. “Because of the volunteers and services provided through Literacy Volunteers, adults in our region are able to realize that potential.”
