Man hurt in Collegetown construction accident

A construction worker was hurt Friday afternoon in Ithaca’s Collegetown after his leg became pinned next to a concrete form in the basement of a work site. Cornell University has been awarded more than $4.2 million in new federal funding to support agriculture research into apple growing, according to a joint news release from U.S. Sens. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand. Cornell University police are investigating a larceny reported at the Cornell Store on campus over the weekend.
