Cornell hockey season ends with NCAA loss

Less than a minute into the NCAA Tournament, the Cornell University men’s hockey team celebrated the first goal in its regional semifinal against UMass Lowell.

The early advantage vanished quickly, though, as referees disallowed the goal following a video review. UMass Lowell then took the lead minutes later and the Big Red failed to recover in a 5-0 loss to the River Hawks on Saturday at SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire.
