“The Stories of Three Cemeteries” Slated for February 25

”The Stories of Three Cemeteries” will be presented on February 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Geneva History Museum, 543 S. Main Street, Geneva. The program, sponsored by the Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes, is free and open to the public. The museum is handicapped accessible.

Karen Osburn will discuss Geneva’s three largest cemeteries, Pulteney Street (now Pulteney in Glenwood), Washington Street and Glenwood. Osburn is historian for the City of Geneva and archivist for the Geneva Historical Society. Osburn will describe how the City acquired the land for each, some of the interesting folks who are buried in them, what the symbols on the headstones mean, and more.
