Josiah and More

FreeSeneca Falls United Methodist Church is sponsoring a screening of the short documentary, Josiah, on Sat., June 16 at 2:00 pm in the Wesleyan Chapel at the Women’s Rights National Historical Park, 136 Fall St., Seneca Falls. The film is the compelling story of Josiah Henson, the African-American slave upon whose life Harriet Beecher Stowe based her novel, Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Also, Seneca County Historian Walt Gable will give a presentation entitled, “Local Congregations and the Burning Issue of Slavery” on Friday evening June 15 at 7:00 pm in the Guntzel Theater at the Women’s Rights Park.
Both events are free and open to the public.
