Sunday, March 4, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$12Auburn Chamber Orchestra honors Auburn, “History’s Hometown”, on Sunday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carriage House Theater (203 Genesee Street, Auburn 13021) with a wonderful variety of music inspired by our local historic figures. “History’s Hometown Tribute” honors William Seward, Harriet Tubman, and Theodore Case, among others. ACO director Steven Frackenpohl has arranged for woodwind, brass, and string groups as well as the Auburn Community Chorus to present gospel music, Ragtime, and Civil War era music, among other selections. Join us at the Carriage House Theater (formerly Theater Mack) behind the Cayuga Museum for an intimate view of the orchestra, as well as some informative talk from representatives of the Seward House, the Tubman Organization, and the Cayuga Museum. Parking is free at the Carriage House (limited), behind the Schweinfurth Art Center, or on the street. A $5 donation is appreciated; children 12 and under need not donate. This program is made possible, in part, with a grant from the Skaneateles Area Arts Council.
