Police: Cohocton man damaged ambulance company property
Deputies arrested a 51-year-old Cohocton resident after an ambulance company saw their property be damaged by the man. Rick E. Towner, 51, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. He is accused of intentionally damaging property of the Town of Cohocton Ambulance Service. Towner was arraigned in Cohocton Village Court and released. State Police say the mayor of a Steuben County village has been charged following an incident that unfolded on Friday night. Around midnight police responded to the Cohocton Development Corporation building — following the report of underage drinking. Police found two teens who had been consuming alcohol.
