Sheriff: Hornell woman stole upwards of $30K from another person over months

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that a Hornell woman is in custody on felony charges after stealing upwards of $30,000 from another person over a course of months. Allard says Carrieann M. Gilliam, 37, of Hornell is accused of stealing $30,523 from December 2017 until July 2018. The money was stolen from another person in the Village of Canisteo.... more

State Police arrested a Canisteo man Saturday on more than a dozen child sex abuse charges. According to troopers, 26-year-old Patrick Runyan was arrested after allegations of child sex abuse came to light.
