Solar farm moratorium proposed

The Town Board voted last week to introduce a local law imposing an indefinite moratorium on the installation of large, commercial solar farms in the town. A public hearing on the proposed local law will be conducted at the board’s May 16 meeting. Rochester driver ticketed after investigation into fatal Ontario Co. crash

An investigation into a fatal accident, which happened back in January has been completed in Ontario County. Cornell objects to solar farm assessment

The town has assessed the new solar farm on Gates Road at $200,000. The electricity-producing panels are owned by Argos Solar LLC. Argos sells the green energy to Cornell University in Ithaca to be applied to its electric bill for the Cornell-owned New York State Agriculture Experiment Station in Geneva. Read More more

Tractor trailer involved in rollover on Route 14A in Seneca
