Ontario County Sheriff’s staff completes Civil Refresher Training Program

Sixty-eight Deputy Sheriffs and civilian staff from 27 Sheriff’s Offices around the state recently completed a Civil Refresher Training Course, providing specialized training in Civil Law Enforcement. 25-year-old accused of firing shotgun inside home; two arrests made after investigation

Bloomfield woman stole items from Richmond home, deputies say

Deputies in Ontario County say that a 23-year-old Bloomfield woman was arrested after she allegedly stole a rechargeable battery valued at $200. Deputies arrested Ashley Baker, 23, of Bloomfield after she stole an impact driver and rechargeable battery from a residence on East Lake Road in Richmond. The Canandaigua Police Department reports that Nathan E. VanBortel, 33, who is the Richmond Town Supervisor was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property — a misdemeanor. Naples man charged with DWI after accident

A Naples man was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital after an accident in Ontario County where he was later charged with driving while intoxicated.
