Roundabout proposed as solution for dangerous Farmington intersection

Changes are coming for one dangerous intersection that is causing major crashes in Farmington. The Genesee Transportation Council approved a proposal for a roundabout at the corner of County Route 28 and Shortsville Road. It is a problem spot for drivers who often blow the two-way stop signs there and cause serious accidents. Read more from 13Wham News more

Paving scheduled for Genesee, High streets in Geneva

The city Department of Public Works is scheduled to mill parts of two city streets starting on Wednesday and continuing until Monday, Sept. 26, weather permitting. A two-car accident on North and Genesee Streets in front of the Galbato building tied up traffic for a short time early Thursday afternoon. Canandaigua Road bridge opens in Macedon

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the opening Thursday of the new Canandaigua Road bridge over the Erie Canal in Macedon. The $4.3 million project reopens a link between Macedon’s residential and business districts and is expected to see about 5,000 vehicles each day.
