High-speed internet on its way to some rural Cayuga County towns

By the end of 2018, about 4,000 residents in seven rural Cayuga County municipalities will have access to high-speed broadband internet through 400 miles of fiber network from New Visions Communications. According to the Cayuga County Health Department, a horse at the southern end of the county died from West Nile Virus. The virus, which is transmitted by mosquitoes, can go symptomless in humans. One sent to Upstate after motorcycle crash in Cayuga County

Homer Rescue and FourTown Ambulance were called to the scene of Rt. 90 and Champlin Rd. for a motorcycle crash. Initially, first responders put Mercy Flight on stand-by, as crews worked to determine the extent of the injuries. Reports indicate that two people were on the motorcycle.
