A Sterling man was sentenced Thursday for illegally receiving more than $12,000 in unemployment benefits. Benjamin Batrack, 31, of 14230 Craine Road, pleaded guilty in August to four felonies: third-degree welfare fraud, third-degree grand larceny, first-degree filing a false instrument and misusing food stamps.
