Seneca County District Attorney Barry Porsch of Seneca Falls announced Friday he will seek a third, four-year term this fall.
“During my first year in office, I fulfilled all of my campaign promises in 2009,” Porsch said in a statement released Friday.
He said those promises consisted of budget cuts; eliminating the district attorney’s vehicle and using his own car; prosecuting cases at all four levels of the state court system; operating a non-political office; and terminating the services of all outside attorneys for appeals.
“I continue to save taxpayer money by performing all appeals work myself,” Porsch said, “and I typically work seven days a week.”
