State operating and building aid accounts for about $25 million of the
$39 million needed to run this Seneca County school district.
However, school officials still don’t know how much the district will receive from those sources as they assemble a 2017-18 spending plan.
In a second draft of a new budget presented to the school board Monday, expenditures and the tax levy were reduced from the first draft released in February. As of now, the budget is up 3 percent from 2016-17, while the tax levy is 0.89 percent higher.
