On Wednesday at approximately 12:30 am on County Road 4 in the Town of Seneca, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Avineri Lopes-Perez, age 22 of Clifton Springs, for aggravated driving while intoxicated.The arrest resulted from a complaint of a sick or intoxicated driver traveling eastbound on County Road 4. Deputies located the 1997 Toyota sedan in the south side ditch just west of County Road 20. Deputies found Lopes-Perez sleeping in the driver’s seat, the vehicle still running and in drive. Deputies determined he was intoxicated and subsequently arrested him.Lopes-Perez informed Deputies that he is a citizen of Guatamala and did not have a license. Deputies also discovered that the Tennessee license plates that were affixed to the vehicle were the wrong plates and the vehicle was not registered.Deputies charged Lopes-Perez with DWI, unlicensed operator, unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance, consuption of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle, improper license plates, and aggravated driving while intoxicated after discovery that his BAC was above .18%. He is currently held at the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
