On Monday the Penn Yan Police Department working in conjunction with the Yates County Sheriff’s Office arrested John “jay” Knapp Jr., age 41 of Dresden, for criminal possession and criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree.Knapp was arrested following a several month long investigation in which he is accused of selling hydrocodone. Knapp was arraigned in the Yates County Court and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 fully secured bond.
