A 62-year-old Branchport man was charged with driving while intoxicated after deputies responded to a one car crash on County Road 1 in Gorham.
Deputies say Ward M. Bergman, 62, of Branchport was charged with drivign while intoxicated, as well as cited multiple tickets after he crashed his vehicle into a ditch.
The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage and when authorities responded — Bergman was attempting to flee the scene. The pickup truck was also unregistered, according to deputies.
He’ll answer the charges in Gorham Town Court.
