A Victor resident who was vacationing with his wife and his in-laws in Miami is trying to make it out of Florida ahead of the hurricane. “We are in a parking lot of a strip mall which is pretty barren except for three police cars,” says Jake Faunce of Victor. Just a few days ago, Jake Faunce, his wife Tracy and her parents were enjoying Miami’s weather. But then Hurricane Matthew approached and evacuation warnings followed. Faunce and his family could not get a flight out of Florida.
