A Geneva woman is facing more than a dozen charges after falsely receiving benefits from 2012 to 2015. Jasmine J. Sparrow, 23, of Geneva was charged with one count of welfare fraud in the fourth degree, and twelve counts of offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree. The Ontario County Department of Social Services alleges that Sparrow failed to report child support payments between September 1st of 2012 to November 20th of last year, which resulted in an over grant of $2,806.13 in public assistance and SNAP benefits.Sparrow will answer the charges in Geneva City Court on May 12th at 8:30 am. She was released and issued appearance tickets.
