Deputies in Seneca County say that a Kingston woman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after leaving a child in a vehicle for an extended period of time in the Town of Junius on Friday.Deputies charged Erika A. Santiago, 52, of Kingston, New York with endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree after she allegedly left a small child in a vehicle while she entered a business for an extended period of time. When deputies arrived they learned that Kingston had been operating her vehicle with a suspended license. Santiago was arraigned in Waterloo Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Jail on $500 cash bail or $1,000 insurance bond.She will appear on July 19th to answer the charges.
