The Ithaca Police Department reports that traffic is being diverted around the 300 block of Elmira Road in the City of Ithaca after a two car accident.While details are sporadic around the crash itself, the Ithaca Police Department says that the crash occurred around 1:25 pm on Friday, with the soutbound lanes being impacted on Elmira Road. Those in the area are advised to utilize Floral Avenue or Spencer Road as alternatives to Elmira Road.Elmira Road is closed to southbound traffic currently, and expected to remain closed for the next couple hours.
