On October 31st at 12:49 pm the Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a motorcycle accident with injuries. The accident occurred on State Route 96A, at the Nielsen Road, in the Town of Fayette. Deputies found the driver of the motorcycle in a field on the east side of the road. The motorcycle was overturned nearby. The driver: Michael J. Riley, age 49, of 4984 Cedarvale Road in Syracuse, was north bound on State Route 96A when he lost control of the motorcycle at a curve and struck a ditch. The motorcycle overturned twice and Riley was ejected. Riley was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance and transported to Strong Memorial for his injuries. Riley was issued a ticket for speeding and will have to appear in Fayette Town Court at a later date. Border City Fire Department and the New York State Police assisted at the scene.
