Penn Yan charged after slapping a female – FingerLakes1.com Archive

Early Wednesday morning at approximately 4:17 am the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Adam M. Mahan, 22 of 1810 Coleman Road in Penn Yan, on an arrest warrant issued by the Village of Penn Yan Court.Officers received information that Mahan was located at 118 Brown Street in the village. Officers were invited into the residence and conducted a search. Mahan was found hiding in a bedroom closet on the second floor. Mahan was taken into custody without incident.Mahan is accused of participating in a physical confrontation on October 13th on East Elm Street in Penn Yan. During the altercation Mahan slapped a female in the face, then assaulted a male in the driveway. Mahan is also being accused of damaging the windshield of a vehicle owned by the female victim.Mahan was charged with Assault in the 3rd, Criminal Mischief in the 4th, Criminal Tampering in the 3rd, and Harassment in the 2nd. Mahan was held at the Yates County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
