Empire State Development announced that communications equipment manufacturer Dynalec Corporation is ready to grow its’ operations in Wayne County.
The company will expand operations at its Rotterdam location in the Village of Sodus by adding up to 12,000 square-feet to its existing facility, a move that will allow Dynalec to substantially increase production in an effort to better meet the worldwide demand for its products. The expansion project is now underway and is expected to be completed in mid-March 2019.
They have committed to creating at least 8 new jobs. Investing in successful companies supports the strategy of the Finger Lakes Forward initiative which is working to revitalize communities by supporting the regional economy.

Founded in 1960, Dynalec Corporation is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of shipboard systems for communication, navigation and switching. They build high-quality, standard and custom products for military and commercial use, including sound powered telephones. Its’ customers include Department of Defense agencies, military and commercial shipyards, international navies, mining/oil rigging manufacturers and telecommunication companies.

To ensure that the company would proceed with the project and create jobs, Empire State Development has offered up to $250,000 through the Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit Program in exchange for the job creation commitments. The total project cost has been placed at $1.045 million.
