Deputies say a Wolcott resident was arrested following a larceny investigation on Christmas Day in the Town of Butler.
Fayer Perez, 22, of Wolcott was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree grand larceny, and fourth-degree criminal mischief after the investigation.
Deputies say they received a report of a man attempting to get into a residence in Butler, and upon investigation – an additional complaint was received by 911 of a person trying to steal a tractor.
The tractor ultimately got stuck in the mud so it is alleged that the suspect – who authorities identified as Perez – stole a truck from another residence all within the same timeframe.
New York State Police spotted the vehicle on Whiskey Hill Road, conducted a traffic stop, and took the operator – identified as Perez – into custody without further incident.
He was arraigned in Huron Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail.
