Authorities say a 29-year-old Middle Black Brook Road resident in Seneca Falls was arrested on numerous charges – including a second-degree rape charge – following a lengthy investigation into alleged sexual abuse involving a 13-year-old victim.
Scott P. Davis, 29, of Seneca Falls was charged with second-degree rape, second-degree criminal sex act, and endangering the welfare of a child. Two of the charges are felonies.
Investigators report that in September 2018 they began an extensive investigation into alleged sexual abuse accusations involving Davis. During the course of the investigation it was discovered that Davis had sexually abused a 13-year-old female in the Town of Tyre and throughout Seneca County at numerous locations.
The incidents began in 2010 and continued through 2013. That resulted in the second-degree rape, and second-degree criminal sex act charges, according to investigators.
It was further discovered that in 2017 and 2018 – Davis had inappropriate sexual conversations with a 9-year-old female in Tyre, leading to the endangering charge.
He was arraigned before Justice Duffy and held on $10,000 bail.
Deputies say that the investigation is ongoing. Additional charges are possible pending further investigation. They ask anyone who has information pertaining to this criminal investigation to contact Investigator John Nesbit of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office at (315) 220-3442.
