Penn Yan man threatened to kill resident during domestic incident

The Penn Yan Police Department reports the arrest of a Linden St. resident in Penn Yan following a domestic incident, which took place on Linden.

According to police, James P. Mahan, 48, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree menacing, third-degree menacing, second-degree attempted assault, second-degree reckless endangerment and harassment.

Mahan is accused of threatening to kill a village resident with a dangerous instrument during the described domestic incident.

He was taken into custody and held at the Yates County Jail pending arraignment.
