Auburn church seeks help with prom for people with special needs

Auburn Alliance Church will once again host Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, along with almost 500 churches around the world on Friday, Feb. 8.

For people with special needs age 14 and older, the prom night experience includes a red carpet arrival, hair and makeup stations, limousine rides, a catered dinner, a respite room for parents and caretakers, and more. It will be the third year the Auburn church has hosted the event. Last year’s took place at the Event Center at Fingerlakes Mall.

The church is still seeking community partners to help make the night possible, including catering services, photographers, videographers, decorators, hair and makeup specialists, massage therapists for the parent respite room, and table, chair and linen suppliers.
