The parents of Amanda Rivenburg have filed paperwork allowing them to make a claim against New York state for the deadly Schoharie limo crash that killed their daughter.
CBS 6 reported last week that the notice of intention to file a claim gives their attorney two years to put a case together.
According to the paperwork, the attorney plans to argue that New York didn’t do enough to keep the limo off the road. And didn’t do enough to make the intersection safe before the crash.
Last week, a spokesperson for DOT reiterated that the limo was not authorized by the state to be on the road.
