United Way of Seneca County annual campaign winding down

The annual United Way of Seneca County fundraising campaign is winding down.

The goal: Raise $300,000. That money assists 22 agencies that provide programs to help children, families, and people in crisis; provide health and wellness; and offer programs that encourage self-sufficiency.

“We are well on our way to this year’s goal, but need the public’s help to make it all the way,” said United Way of Seneca County Director Rhonda Jasper. “Every donation counts, and with 22 funded partner agencies and 14 community initiatives, it’s remarkable all the good work that a single donation can support.”

Jasper said United Way agencies use campaign funds to work on such issues as food insecurity, the high cost of childcare, illiteracy, poverty, domestic violence, substance abuse, suicide, and end-of-life decisions.
