Plenty of boys varsity basketball games were contested on Wednesday night across the Wayne-Finger Lakes. The most impressive result of the night came from Rushville where Greg O’Conner’s Marcus Whitman Wildcats posted an 18 point win over visiting Livonia. Coach O’Conner called it “a great team effort, especially defensively.” Also, the reports out of Gananda showed the Blue Panthers hanging with the Lyons Lions into the second half. In fact, the game was tied at 56 with just over 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter with Justice Smith in foul trouble. The Lions proved to be too much, however, running away in the final quarter for a comfortable 17 point win. Full results from all of Wednesday night’s games below…
