Two sent to Thompson Hospital after crash on CR 28 in Farmington

Deputies say they responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of County Road 28 and Fox Road in Farmington Wednesday morning.

It happened around 7:18 a.m. when 41-year-old Timothy Slater, of Farmington, was traveling west on Fox Road in his SUV when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the County Road 28 intersection.

Failing to stop — his vehicle struck 48-year-old Sherry Sanderson’s. Deputies say Sanderson is a Walworth resident.

As result of the collision both parties were transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital.

Slater was issued a citation for failing to yield the right of way, according to deputies.
