The father of a former RIT student was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without parole.
Lloyd Neurauter was sentenced for the murder of his ex-wife in August 2017 in Corning. Investigators say Lloyd and his daughter, Karrie Neurauter, staged Michele Neaurauter’s death to make it look like a suicide at her apartment on Dwight Avenue in Corning.
Karrie Neurauter, 21, admitted to helping her father kill her mother by driving her father to and from her mother’s house, disconnecting electronic devices in the home to hide his presence, and reporting a false story to investigators.
The Steuben County District Attorney’s Office said Lloyd gave his daughter an ultimatum that if she did not help him commit the murder, he would kill himself.
