Deputies: Arcadia woman had BAC over three-times the legal limit during wreck

Deputies say an Arcadia woman was recently charged with DWI after a lengthy investigation into a one-car property damage accident that happened in October.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that on October 20th, 2018 they responded to a crash where the driver, identified as 29-year-old Anna J. Skeels, of Arcadia collided with a utility pole.

Deputies say Skeels refused to be treated by eMS and refused transportation to a nearby hospital — citing that she was not hurt.

Blood samples were obtained at the scene of the collision, and upon investigation it was determined that her BAC was more than three-times the legal limit.

Deputies say that BAC registered at .25 percent. As result she was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, and moving from lane unsafely.

She was released on traffic tickets after being charged on Tuesday at approximately 10:17 p.m.

The charges will be answered at a later date in Arcadia Town Court.
