Ontario County Sheriff-Elect Kevin Henderson has made his pick for undersheriff as he begins his first term on January 1st.

“I have begun working to transition into my new role as Ontario County Sheriff,” he said in a press release this week. “I have appointed David Frasca to serve as my undersheriff when I take office.”

Frasca retired in 2015 after serving 32 years with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. He was a road patrol supervisor and active on several specialized units — including the Emergency Response Team, STOP-DWI team, and Child Abduction Response Team.

“He continued his career in law enforcement and is currently working as a sergeant, part-time with the Phelps Police Department,” said Henderson, who noted Frasca’s community volunteering as a part of his proven track record in Ontario.

“Having worked closely with David for many years I am confident that he has the experience and commitment to successfully serve in this role,” concluded Henderson.
