On Monday, an army of teachers and union members filled the Board of Trustees meeting at Monroe Community College.
The goal was to raise awareness to issues that the faculty claim are long-running and deeply-rooted in the college’s administration that include retirement, contract violations and treatment of employees.
“I felt unsafe, I felt disrespected, I was disrespected,” said one teacher, who alleges the MCC administration failed to act on a threat he received by a student.
“I’m saddened and disappointed by the lack of respect that emanates from this board,” said another teacher.
