On Saturday at 10:16 pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a Town resident following a call for a welfare check.
Jessica J. Raymond, 37, of Seneca Falls was arrested after police were called to check on a parent, who was reportedly intoxicated, and caring for several children.
Police received the call from a third party. Upon arrival, police located Raymond in the home with seven children, ranging from ages two-years-old to 16-years-old. They say she was in an intoxicated state.
It was determined that Raymond was unable to care for the children.
She was taken into custody and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Police say Raymond was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
Seneca County Child Protective Services was also involved.
