Police: Fayette man charged with DWI after speeding on River Rd.

On Saturday around 3:08 a.m. police arrested a 32-year-old Fayette man following a traffic stop on River Road.

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of Matthew J. Haws, 32, of Fayette, who was stopped for speeding.

Upon investigation it was determined that he had a suspended license, and was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition.



He was charged with speed in zone; aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree; driving while intoxicated; and driving with 0.08% or more BAC.

Police say he was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. The charges will be answered in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
