J-D buries Auburn behind Teleak Robinson, Max Schulman

Both Max Schulman and Teleak Robinson were members of last year’s Class A sectional final four Jamesville-DeWitt team that was knocked off by Bishop Grimes. Now as a senior and junior respectively, their roles have expanded, and both players shined during Friday’s season-opener against Auburn, leading the Red Rams to a 79-54 win during the 15th annual Peppino’s Invitational at Onondaga Community College.

Schulman poured in a game-high 26 points, while Robinson — making his first career varsity start — was second on the team with 17. Robinson was one of J-D’s main offensive forces early with 9 points in the opening frame, a quarter that saw the victors jump out to a 22-9 lead.
